At Do-Nation Limited, we’re committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal information is handled in a transparent, secure, and lawful way. We follow the Privacy Act 2020 and the 13 Privacy Principles that guide how we collect, store, use, and share your data.

What information we collect

When you sign up to make a regular donation through one of our fundraisers, we may collect:

• Your name

• Contact information (email, phone, address)

• Payment details

• Your preferred charity

• Any communication preferences

How and why we collect it

This information is entered by our fundraiser at your direction using a secure platform (such as Waysact or Evergiving) and is sent directly to the charity you are supporting.

We collect this information to:

• Process your donation

• Send you receipts or confirmation emails

• Support your chosen charity’s fundraising efforts

• Occasionally check the quality of our fundraising services

Who we share it with

We only share your information with:

• The charity you choose to support

• The secure platform that facilitates the donation (e.g. Waysact/Evergiving)

• Our internal team (in limited cases) for reporting or quality assurance

We never sell or share your information with unrelated third parties.

Do you have to provide your information?

Providing your information is voluntary, but we may not be able to complete your donation if we do not have the necessary details.

How long we keep your data

We currently do not store donor data long term. However, if we do in the future (for quality or reporting), it will only be:

• Retained for a maximum of 24 months

• Accessed only by authorised staff

• Deleted securely once no longer needed

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information

• Request a correction if it’s wrong

• Ask how your data has been used

Security of your data

We take data security seriously. Any donor data we handle is protected using:

• Secure platforms

• Two-factor authentication (2FA)

• Access restrictions and staff training

• No physical forms or local storage
